Glory!

Agnus Dei.

It’s a good, old fashioned Christian anthem, and when I’m down, I put it on loud! Click here to hear one of my favorite versions.

Play them, and I close my eyes, I lift my hands, and I glory in whatever is around me.

Starry night?

I’m out there dancing among the stars overawed by creation.

Daylight.

I’m soaring on the music like a hawk across a landscape, enjoying what God has made.

And invariably, my hand isn’t open. It’s a fist. A fist in the face of whatever is getting me down. I’m declaring myself a survivor, and overcomer because of Jesus who I’m praising.

Of course, I also get to wonder at the nature of a Creator so big he can hold the universe and still make sure I don’t get lost among it all.

And when life gets rough, that’s more than enough.
