Let’s see.

Scream?

Laughable.

Saw?

A joke.

The Exorcist?

Saw it twenty-three times and it keeps getting funnier.

Five-Million Years to Earth.

Picture it. London. In the course of digging a new subway, an object is found buried in the Earth. At first, it’s thought it’s a bomb left over from the war. But no, excavation shows it to be a space vessel. It’s been buried for millions of years. Around it is the fossilized remains of apelike creatures that are in our direct line of evolution.

And inside the spaceship, insect like remains of the crew. It’s soon determined that the apes had been surgically altered. Their DNA had been reworked. But by who, and for what purpose.

And when people start experiencing visions that seem to be caused by the spaceship, it becomes very obvious what had happened. Their own world dying, the aliens altered primitive creatures her on Earth. We have their racial memories. And we have their bent towards murder, bigorty and . . .

Track it down. It’s an old movie. Like all old British Movies, it didn’t have much of a budget. But it didn’t need one. The story is amazing.

And it gave me nightmares.
