Daily writing prompt
What is the meaning of life?

“Life” according to either Voltaire of Groucho Marx (I’m not sure which said it, they often times sound so much alike), “is the ultimate joke. And it has one hell of a punch line!”

That may be true, but it’s not how I see it. From where I sit, the meaning is simple.

Earth is not your home. You’re simply passing through. You have a visa that has an expiration date on it. And you’ve been given this.

There’s billions of Galaxies in this universe. Each is composed of hundreds of billions of stars. And it seems most stars have worlds orbiting them.

And in all of that, and maybe more, there’s just one of you. And none of it is orbiting around you.

Life is not about you. It’s about something much bigger, and that’s the two jobs you’ve got.

One. Love God.

Two. Love everyone else.

And if you can do that, then you know what life is about.
