The Coyote.
And I’m not talking about the one that chases the road runner (if he’d patent half his inventions, he’d make Elon Musk look lazy).
I’m talking about the real one.
Now why. It’s the only creature on God’s green Earth we’ve actually set out to eradicate and we haven’t done it.
The coyote is a lot more than a survivor.
He’s beaten the odds. He’s overcome. Improvised. He’s adapted.
And he’s still here.

We’ve had a good-sized one last month in our neighborhood, suburbs.

I like coyotes, William. When we lived on some acreage, I would hear them howling often while I was sitting outside at a fire.
