I tend to shy away from cities.
But that said, there’s a few I do want to check out. Nothing exciting. Zip in. Hit a few spots. Zip out.
NYC is of course, on that list. While there, i want to visit the Empire State Building just to say I have. Pay my respects at the 911 memorial. Walk the decks of the Intrepid and visit the Museum of Natural History (and see if things really do come to life after sundown).
And I want to say hi to Ellis Island since some ancestors passed through.
I’d like to see a Broadway show and have a cup of coffee at Serendipity. And of course, visit Central Park.
San Francisco has always been on the list. The history fascinates me, and I’d like to see some of that to include The Rock.
But if there’s one single place, I’d like to revisit it, it’s Santa Fe, New Mexico. When I was in the fifth grade, we went on a field trip there. We visited the Governors Palace and the old church there. We also visited the oldest house in America. I’d like to go and stroll around at my lesiure.
And while there, zip down south and visit the Trinity Bomb Site.

We visited Santa Fe (back when we lived in Colorado) and were fascinated by the round adobe capitol building.

NYC is also great for people watching. Walk around Times Square and try not to gape.
