Despite being raised a cowboy and written a few stories that concerned riding, you’d think I’d talk highly of horses, But truth is, I’m not a big fan of horses. Oh, I can ride one.
Assuming, of course, I’m being held at gunpoint.
Funny thing for a cowboy to admit, but it’s true. Maybe it just has something to do with the nags I rode as a kid. None of them were what I’d call a good horse.
And we owned one horse that plain and simply put, was a killer. She hated humans and her mission in life was to hurt them. i was glad when we finally got rid of her.
While everyone else rode during the summer cattle drives, I ran. I always considered it good training for the marathons, fun runs, and ruck marches I did in the military. To this day, I think it’s one of the many reasons I’m as strong as I am.
Of course it might have also been a trust issue. I don’t care to have any intelligence, no matter how rudimentary, between me and the controls.
And that will probably be as good a reason as any that I will never own an AI driven car.

Some people love horses, but not everyone.
