I do enjoy cooking. I learned to cook mostly in self-defense. Mom left a little to be desired in the kitchen and my first wife could burn water on a good day.
So, I set out to learn to cook.
And there’s several things I love to cook. Absolutely favorite meal to cook is breakfast. Bacon, eggs, toast. Almost impossible to screw up.
But favorite thing to make is what I call “Ramen King Noodles.” The title of “The Ramen King” was hung on me at MPI school where I almost lived on them for the eight weeks of the course.
Here’s my recipe for it.
In a large wok or frying pan, fry up 1 pound of hamburger. While it’s frying, mix in chopped onion, celery, and carrots if you wish. You can also add bell peppers, mushrooms, or for a real treat, toss in a can of Hatch diced green chili. When it’s done, drain most of the grease off. Break up two packages of Ramen Noodles. Add to the pan along with water (I’ve found one cup of water per two packages is about right). Bring to a boil.
When done, pour into soup mugs, spice as needed, and top with diced hard-boiled eggs and chopped green onions.
Enjoy!

I see why you got the title!

I’m not usually a ramen person, but this sounds good.

I’ve been making it for years. Every once in a while, I make it for my wife and I (she loves it). Give it a try, we might bring you over to the noodle side.
