Got some real good news today. A few weeks back, I announced that I was the finalist from the Cheyenne VA area for the personal essay in the Veterans Administration Creative Writing competition.

Got the news today. I placed second!

While the VA won’t pay for me to go to the festival in May, I am invited. I’ll get a medal, certificate, and some serious bragging rights.
