Daily writing prompt
Do you believe in fate/destiny?

Summed up in one word.

“NO!”

I’ve arrived at this point because of the choices I made. Had I decided to turn left instead of right sometime in the past, would I be a different person today.

The answer is simply, I don’t know. Marty McFly wrecked the time machine so I can’t examine alternate timelines and see those results.

And would I want to change things even if I could. Granted, things happen we can’t control. It’s how we react to them that determine who and what we becaome.

At the risk of repeating myself, I need the Good decisions I’ve made. I need the Bad decisions I’ve made. I need the triumphs and the pain life has given me.

They make me who I am.

Nullum fatum praeterquam quod facimus.
