One thing I’m working into each novel and in the back are questions.

These questions are designed to be sued by a book club reading the book. BUT, they can also be used by the reader alone.

Some of the questions in Some of the books are pretty straightforward. For Example, one that will apear at the end of Broken People will be: What is PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)? I just know someone is going to answer “It’s something soldiers get.” The truth, however is, anyone can get it.

The questions at the end of Cross and the Badge are a little different. Will Diaz left the Army, a career he enjoyed. He’s back someplace he never expected to be. And he’s got a life he’s sorting out.

They will be about starting over, and I think we’ve all been there.

We’ve all had the rug pulled out from under our feet by events. we lost our job. Our spouse decided they wanted out. we were in a bad accident. Yet, here we are. Picking up the pieces and getting on with the act of living.

So, I’m asking you to answer a question with yourself. How did you navigate a new beginning? How did you react when the world took a turn you weren’t expecting?

And most importantly, have you ever shared that story?

The new edition will be out Monday, Jan 26.

Thanks for reading, and remember to be good to yourself and others.
