Sunday, my wife and I were sitting at the table. A breakfast of pancakes and sausage had been finished. The dishes were done, the kitchen cleaned up, and we had coffee between us.

After about thirty minutes, it occurred to us that we had absolutely nothing to do today. There were no appointments, nothing that we had planned, and that we had a whole day off. It was a rainy, cloudy day. it was cool outside.

It was the kind of day God put everything on hold and gave the commandment, “chill!”

Blankets materialized out of the ottoman, the TV went on, and we both slept

Since we both have a corner on the market for busy, it just felt good to fall back and do nothing.
