I listen to just about anything. Some exceptions of course. I like jazz. And the I like both country and western (yes, there is a difference). Rock. Alternative. R&B. You name it.
But my all-time favorite Genre is Classical. Give me the two original heavy metal artists (Bach and Beethoven) and I’m happy.
But the thing I really like is those outfits that take classical and merge it into rock. Put on stuff Rick Wakeman did (I’m thinking Journey to the Center of the Earth) or Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds and I’ll listen to it all day.
Something I’m a huge fan of is an outfit called Two Steps from Hell. I’d cheerfully kill to see and hear them in concert.
And before I forget, what list would be complete without Mike Oldfield.
Mash rock and classical, and wow!
And since I’m bragging about some of these artists, here’s a list of my favorite below for you listening pleasure:
Rick Wakeman: Journey to the Center of the Earth Clair de Lune
Jeff Wayne: War of the Worlds
Two Steps from Hell: Live
Mike Oldfield: Music of the Sphere’s
J.S. Bach: Toccata and Fugue in D minor
Beethoven: Piano Concerto no. 5

Classical and jazz are my favorites, though any good music pleases me.

Fusion.
Sticking 2 things together.
Or from dictionary.com:
1- the act or process of fusing; the state of being fused.
–skip 4–
6- popular music that is a blend of two styles, especially a combining of jazz with either rock, classical music, or such ethnic elements as Brazilian or Japanese music.
Fusion.
